Monroe County Democrats seek volunteers for Stinesville Stone Quarry Festival

STINESVILLE – As the summer wraps up, the Monroe County Democrats are inviting community members to volunteer at their booth during the annual Stinesville Stone Quarry Festival. The festival, which celebrates Monroe County’s heritage, will take place from Thursday, September 25, through Saturday, September 27.

The party is seeking volunteers to help with voter registration and to distribute merchandise, candy, and literature to festival-goers. According to the organization, the festival is one of its last major events of the year to engage with voters.

The Stinesville Stone Quarry Festival is a weekend-long celebration featuring live music, food, arts and crafts, a pie competition, a kiddie tractor pull, a street dance, and a Saturday afternoon parade.

Volunteer shifts are available during the following times:

  • Thursday, Sept. 25: 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 26: 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 27:
    • 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
    • 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
    • 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
