Coat Drive extended at Fishers Event Cente

FISHERS – As part of its local impact initiative and ongoing efforts to give back to the community, the Fishers Event Center is encouraging the community to donate their gently used, clean coats, hats, and gloves during its Coat Drive, benefiting Kids Coats Hamilton County. All sizes, infant through adult, are needed.

Due to a strong turnout with donations on Tuesday, the Coat Drive has been extended to include more donation time frames at Fishers Event Center at 11000 Stockdale Street in Fishers, with bins placed outside at the Main Entrance:

  • Friday, September 19 (3 p.m. until the second match ends) and Saturday, September 20 (1 p.m. until the second match ends) during the Butler Volleyball Invitational
    Butler University Volleyball hosts the event, joined by IU Indianapolis, Oakland, and Eastern Michigan, providing the community with an opportunity to see four Division I schools compete in Hamilton County.
     
  • Sunday, September 21, from 3-5:30 p.m. during the Indy Fuel Open House
    A FREE event for the public! Be the first to see the team’s 2025-2026 season jerseys, shop the annual fire sale in The Garage team store, Meet & Greet opportunities with special guests from Indy Fuel, and enjoy food and drinks!

  • About Kids Coats Hamilton County: Kids Coats offers gently used winter coats to families in Hamilton County, Indiana, at no charge. We differ from other coat distributions in that we deliver the coats directly to where the people live. We partner with local churches in Hamilton County. Central Indiana organizations partner with us to connect families to other opportunities available to them at little to no cost.
     
  • How do I get a coat for my child? Online Appointment sign-ups for Kids Coats Hamilton County’s November Giveaways begin in August each year. The deadline for online registration is October 15. If you miss registration or cannot attend any of the November giveaways, you can still receive a coat until the end of winter at the Merciful HELP Center. All Merciful HELP Center visitors will need a coat appointment.
  • Can adults get coats too? Adults aged 20 and older can also receive coats during walk-in times, after the kids have shopped, or at the Merciful HELP Center.
