BEDFORD — The White River Humane Society is inviting pet owners to celebrate Halloween while supporting local homeless animals at a special fundraising event next month.
The shelter will host a Halloween photo fundraiser on Saturday, October 4, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Tractor Supply Co., located at 2653 16th St. in Bedford. LK Pet Photography will provide professional portraits of dogs, with proceeds benefiting the shelter.
Photo sessions are $25 for one dog or $30 for two dogs, with a maximum of two dogs per photo. To participate, dogs must be friendly with both people and other dogs, current on vaccinations, and on non-retractable leashes.
The White River Humane Society does not receive any government funding and relies on community support to continue its mission of providing shelter and finding homes for homeless pets.
