SEYMOUR — A new foundation has been established to honor the memory of 4-year-old Maverick Flinn and his great-grandmother, Nancy “Nanny” Fox, who died in a farming accident on June 23, 2025. The Maverick Minute Foundation was created to carry forward its legacy by raising awareness about farm safety and protecting lives across rural America.
In the days following the tragedy, Maverick’s great-grandfather, Charlie Fox, encouraged farmers everywhere to take “a Maverick Minute” — a simple pause to inspect equipment, review surroundings, and ensure safety before working. The foundation will build on that message by supporting safety education for youth, farm families, and all who work with heavy machinery.

JCBank’s Trust Department has partnered with the foundation to help manage the account and raise awareness of its mission. Leaders at the bank say they are honored to support efforts that could save lives by promoting greater caution and care in agricultural communities.
Donations to the Maverick Minute Foundation may be made through the Greater Seymour Trust Fund at greaterseymourtrustfund.org.
