BEDFORD – Second-grade students from across Lawrence County will participate in the 2025 “Careers on Wheels” event at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. The event, scheduled for tomorrow, Sept. 16, is a collaboration between Mitchell Community Schools and North Lawrence Community Schools, offering more than 375 students a hands-on introduction to various careers.

Students will rotate through different stations where local businesses and organizations will showcase vehicles, tools, and equipment essential to their work. The event aims to inspire curiosity and connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities by bringing together professionals from various fields, including first response, skilled trades, STEM careers, and local entrepreneurs.

The event is a partnership between local schools and community organizations, with special support from the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council and the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
