Bug Fest returns to Bloomington; Volunteers needed

BLOOMINGTON Bug Fest is returning to Karst Farm Park on Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and organizers are seeking volunteers to help with the event. The popular festival typically draws thousands of attendees, with local youth and families coming to learn about bugs, insects, and pollinators.

Organizers are calling on outdoor enthusiasts to volunteer and assist in facilitating the event. Volunteer roles include greeting guests, running craft and activity tables, and supervising the toddler area.

Bug Fest is a collaborative effort between Bloomington Parks and Recreation, Monroe County Parks and Recreation, Purdue Extension – Monroe County, and WonderLab.

Those interested in volunteering can register online to receive a confirmation email with event details. For more information or questions, a contact button is available on the event’s website.
