LOOGOOTEE — A kick-off event for the Dementia Friendly Martin County initiative is set for August 26, 2025, at the Martin County 4-H Fairgrounds Event Center. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 2666 Highway 50, Loogootee.

The event aims to educate the community on available resources and foster connections among those in the aging community. Attendees will hear from speakers representing the Alzheimer’s Association, Dementia Friendly Indiana, and Dementia Friendly Martin County.
Natali Edmonds, a dementia care expert from Careblazers, will be the keynote speaker. Refreshments will be provided.
