BEDFORD— Lawrence County Independent School Corporation is celebrating a major academic milestone after reporting a 93.5% pass rate on the Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination (IREAD) assessment.

School leaders said the results reflect the dedication of students, staff, and families, as well as the district’s focus on building a strong academic foundation.
“Our legacy students — those who have been with LCIS for three years or more — continue to show remarkable growth year after year,” the district said in a statement. “This proves the long-term impact of our commitment to excellence.”
The district also announced that LCIS earned the highest IREAD corporation score in Lawrence County and neighboring counties.
Officials credited the success to the hard work and high standards of the school community.
“Thank you to everyone who plays a role in making LCIS a place where all students thrive,” the statement said.
