Candidate Statement from Rob Council

My name is Rob Council, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Vice Chair of the Monroe County Democratic Party. As someone who believes deeply in the transformative power of grassroots organizing, I am ready to help lead our party into the future our community wants.

Monroe County is a progressive beacon, and now more than ever, we need leaders who will fight for fresh ideas and inclusive action. Our movement is built on the belief that a just and equitable future starts in our own backyard, in the streets, the homes, the hearts of our neighbors. We have proven time and again that when welcome together, we can create real change.

As your Vice Chair, my goal will be simple: to ensure that every voice is heard and every action is purposeful. I am committed to supporting initiatives that challenge the status quo and build a future that reflects our shared values. Equality, equity, justice, and opportunity for all.

Whether it’s organizing events that build solidarity, creating space for fresh ideas, or amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our party remains an open, forward-thinking, and powerful force for good.

The challenges we face are real, but they are not insurmountable. I believe in the power of community and the power of each and every one of you to shape a brighter tomorrow. Together, we can build a Monroe County where progress is more than just a promise; it’s a reality.

I ask for your support as we continue this vital work, creating a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you.
