Arthur S. “Art” Furnace, 80 of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at his residence. Art was born in Massena, New York, on December 25, 1944, to Wilford and Victoria Furnace. Art married Ann Ramsey on April 20, 1979, and she survives.
Art retired from General Motors in Bedford. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Air Force, a member of UAW Local #440, and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Furnace of Bedford, children, Jason (Kerri) Furnace of Bedford, Amanda (Kevin) Chase of Williams, Judith Furnace of Alabama, and Andre Furnace of Alabama, five grandchildren, Logan Furnace, Victoria Furnace, Grace Kinser, Jacob Kinser, and Brendan Furnace, two sisters, Elanie McDonald, and Phyllis Collins.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Lee Furnace, Charles Furnace, Donald Furnace, and Phillip Furnace, and one sister, Shirley Tucker.
