BLOOMINGTON – Get ready to celebrate local agriculture and community spirit as National Farmers’ Market Week, now in its 26th year, kicks off from August 3–9, 2025! The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market will be a hub of activity, highlighting its vital role in supporting local food systems and connecting residents with fresh, homegrown products.

Shoppers at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market can always find a vibrant selection straight from the farm, including crisp vegetables, ripe fruits, local meats and cheeses, fresh eggs, honey, and seasonal blooms. Artisanal food and beverage vendors will also be on hand with handcrafted pastries, savory dishes, and refreshing drinks.

Live Music and ADA Anniversary Celebration This Saturday!

This Saturday, August 2, the market will feature special attractions. Shayaam Akasha, guitarist with the Burning Day Blues, will perform two sets of Blues, R&B, Jazz, Classic Rock, and originals on the BCFM Circular Stage at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Additionally, the City of Bloomington Council for Community Accessibility will commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This community event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fernandez Plaza outside City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street, conveniently located alongside the Farmers’ Market. In case of rain, the celebration will move inside the City Hall Atrium. The event will showcase local organizations offering resources, services, and peer-led programs for residents with disabilities, featuring informational booths, engaging activities, games, prizes, and cookies, all aimed at fostering a more accessible community.

Market-goers also have the opportunity to engage with local government officials through the “Mayor’s Team at the Table” program.
