BLOOMINGTON – Demolition has officially begun at the Monroe Convention Center expansion site, marking a significant milestone for the long-awaited project. Crews were on site today at the corner of Walnut and Third streets, tearing down the former NAPA building.


The start of demolition follows extensive planning and effort to reach this phase. Once completed, the expansion is expected to enhance the city’s ability to host a wider range of events and showcase Bloomington to a greater number of visitors.
