BLOOMINGTON — The City of Bloomington is actively seeking a civically-engaged resident with a passion for housing to serve on its Board of Housing Quality Appeals. This volunteer position offers an opportunity for community members to directly contribute to local governance and ensure the availability of safe, habitable rental housing within the city.

The Board of Housing Quality Appeals is responsible for hearing appeals related to Bloomington’s Residential Rental Inspection Program. This program plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and habitability standards of rental properties across the city.
“In Bloomington, we want you to feel like government happens with you, not to you—and housing is something that impacts all of us,” a city representative stated, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in this area.
