Lawrence County Community Foundation grant aids Men’s Warming Shelter of Bedford

BEDFORD — The Stone City Alliance for Recovery & Hope (SARAH) has received a $4,428 Impact Grant from the Lawrence County Community Foundation (LCCF) to expand capacity at the Men’s Warming Shelter of Bedford.

The funding will be used to purchase three new bunk beds, increasing the shelter’s ability to provide safe, warm accommodations during the cold season. The grant was awarded July 9 as part of LCCF’s mission to support local programs that serve vulnerable populations and build stronger communities.

The check was presented during a ceremony attended by representatives from both SARAH and the Community Foundation.
