BEDFORD— United Way is gearing up to host its 3rd Annual Blue Jean Ball on Thursday, Sept. 18, bringing together community members for an evening of music, food, and fundraising in the heart of the Indiana countryside.

The event will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in a historic barn setting at Whippoorwill Hill, 1780 E Rayletown Road in Bloomington, offering guests a relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere complete with live country music, a silent auction, raffle drawings, and classic Southern fare.

Nashville recording artist Jennifer Mlott will headline the event, performing from 6 to 7 p.m. Her heartfelt lyrics and down-home charm are expected to have attendees dancing in their boots.
Guests will enjoy a BBQ dinner catered by Great White Smoke BBQ, with a choice of pulled pork, pulled chicken, or black bean burgers, plus traditional sides and all the fixings. Bruster’s Ice Cream will be on hand to satisfy sweet cravings.
The silent auction and cash bar will open at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m. Raffle drawings will take place at 6:30 and 7 p.m., and the silent auction will close at 7:15 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring cash for raffle tickets.
Tickets are $55 per person, or $500 per table of 8. Ticket sales close Wednesday, August 28, at 11:59 p.m., and none will be sold at the door. Attendees are asked to indicate their meal choice when purchasing tickets.
