BEDFORD— Tuesday marks a major milestone for the 2025 Lawrence County 4-H Fair as the fairgrounds prepare for Kids’ Day, a highlight event aimed at engaging young fairgoers with a full slate of family-friendly activities.
Starting at 9 a.m., the day kicks off with the Swine Show, followed by Games and a Bicycle Rodeo at 10 a.m., where children can test their skills and enjoy friendly competition. The Sheep Show begins at 4 p.m., offering another opportunity for local 4-H participants to show off months of hard work with their animals.
The excitement continues into the evening with one of the fair’s marquee events, the Calf Scramble, beginning at 7 p.m. in the main arena. The fast-paced event invites youth to chase and capture calves, offering not only thrills for spectators but also scholarships and prize incentives for participants. Admission to the Calf Scramble is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for kids 2 and under.

Beyond the animal competitions, Tuesday is also a chance for visitors to enjoy the many ongoing attractions at the fair. The Funtime Carnival, open Tuesday through Friday from 6 to 10 p.m., offers rides and games, while families can stop by the All Star Barnyard Revue for live animal entertainment shows running at 6 and 8 p.m.
For those looking for laughs, the Marshal Manlove Comedy Hypnosis Show will be performing Monday through Thursday at 6 and 8 p.m. at the park stage, promising audience participation and surprises. Attendees can also explore local food vendors, agricultural exhibits, and the commercial buildings filled with community showcases.
Tuesday’s events are part of a packed week at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds, located just outside Bedford. The fair runs through Saturday, July 12, culminating in a Quad Bike Show and a Parade of Champions.
