Dr. Bud Golf Scramble raises funds for nursing scholarships

SEYMOUR – The 44th annual Dr. Bud Golf Scramble, held on June 25th at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour, successfully hosted 54 teams, raising vital funds for nursing scholarships.

The team of Luke Warren, Daulton Anderson, Colin Woods, and Meghan Warren claimed first place in the scramble with an impressive score of 55.

The scholarship program honors Dr. H.P. “Bud” Graessle, who served as a practicing physician and surgeon for 53 years until his retirement in 1971. All proceeds from the event directly support nursing students from Jackson, Jennings, Scott, and Washington counties, helping to alleviate financial barriers to their education.

In addition to the team awards, individual achievements were recognized in both men’s and women’s categories for longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt.

The individual winners were:

  • Longest Drive Women: Cara Stuckey
  • Longest Drive Men: James Fee Sr.
  • Closest to Pin Women: Cara Stuckey
  • Closest to Pin Men: Johnnie Spivey
  • Longest Putt Women: Carol Brock
