OOLITIC— VFW Post 1686 Auxiliary will host a fundraiser cookout on Saturday, July 5, from noon to 3 p.m. at 1686 Veterans Drive in Oolitic, Indiana, in celebration of Independence Day.
The event, open to the public, will feature a classic Fourth of July menu, including hamburgers, hot dogs, and assorted sides. Admission prices are set at $12 for adults ages 12 and over, $6 for children ages 6–11, and free for those 5 and under.
This gathering continues the Auxiliary’s tradition of community support. The Auxiliary serves veterans, active‑duty personnel, and their families with programs focused on patriotism, scholarships, and veteran welfare. VFW Post 1686—also known as Limestone Post—is located at the same address and supports additional activities like scholarship programs and veterans’ assistance services.
