COLUMBUS – Columbus police are investigating after the body of a man was discovered in Mill Race Park.
According to the Columbus Police Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 12:43 p.m. on Friday, near the area of Fifth and Lindsay Streets within the park. Upon arrival, they located a deceased man near a picnic table.
The Bartholomew County Coroner’s office has identified the deceased as 59-year-old Aron Hoy of Columbus.
Authorities have stated that preliminary findings at the scene indicate no signs of foul play or apparent injuries. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed to determine the cause of death.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
