Loretta Mae Browning, 85, of Bedford, passed away at 9:54 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at I.U. Health Hospice House.
Born October 14, 1939, in Pageton, WV, she was the daughter of George and Myrtle (Woolridge) Ball. She married Roger Browning on July 31. 1959, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 1996. She was a homemaker and had worked at Walmart for 13 years. She was of the Baptist faith and attended the East Oolitic Community Church.
Survivors include a sister, Geraldine Lewis; a daughter-in-law, Rose Browning; grandchildren, T.J. Browning and Amanda (Mike) Jones; great- grandchildren, Micheala (Koda) Turpin, Courdell Daughrity, Trevette (Bri) Daughrity, Carlie Jones, Zane Jones; great-great-grandchildren, Drew and Oaklyn; a son, Timothy O. Browning and wife, Cindy; a grandchild, Suzi Browning; 2 great-grandchildren, Victoria Lee Pointer and Chance Franklin Pointer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, William D. Browning and Paul D. Browning; a grandson, Timothy M. Browning.
The funeral service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, June 24th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary, with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
