Autism Rocks and Rolls to host annual Poker Run, seeks community support

BLOOMINGTON – Autism Rocks and Rolls, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to destigmatizing autism and showcasing the talents of individuals on the spectrum, will host its annual Poker Run on Saturday, August 2nd, beginning at Harley-Davidson.

The event, which last year drew over 31 motorcycle riders, aims to expand its reach this year, anticipating over 50 bikes. Participants will enjoy a scenic ride, breakfast at the starting point, raffles, prizes, and a meal after the ride. The event will also provide information on how Autism Rocks and Rolls directly benefits the autism community with new resources.

President Gina Mitchell emphasized the importance of community support in covering event expenses and enhancing the guest experience. The organization is seeking sponsorships:

  • Gold sponsorships will help fund food for the event.
  • Silver sponsorships will contribute to printing, raffles, prizes, and advertising.

Sponsors can receive perks such as concert tickets, shout-outs, and ad space on Sam Mitchell’s podcast, as well as other advertising benefits. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Autism Rocks and Rolls at info@autismrocksandrolls.com or 812-699-7811 for more details on sponsorship packages.

Autism Rocks and Rolls originated from a podcast started by Sam Mitchell, a young man on the autism spectrum, who sought to be heard. The organization has since grown into a non-profit with an 8-member board, actively helping the autism community through various initiatives, including motivational and TEDx speaking engagements.
