Shoulder closures planned on I-65 in Jackson County

JACKSON CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Hall Contracting, Inc., is scheduled to begin a small structure drainage project on I-65 just north of Uniontown on or after Friday, June 13, in Jackson County.

Work will take place on I-65, approximately 2.3 miles north of State Road 250, and is expected to be completed in mid-July, weather permitting. Northbound and southbound shoulder closures will be implemented at the project site during work progress.

Crews will conduct overnight single-lane closures on northbound and southbound I-65, starting on or after Friday, June 13, to install a barrier wall before the project begins. This work is expected to take up to one night, weather permitting.

This project is part of a $2.3 million contract awarded to Hall Contracting in January 2025.
