Oolitic resident Nathaniel Acres joins American Angus Association

OOLITIC – Nathaniel Acres of Oolitic has officially joined the ranks of the American Angus Association®, as announced by Mark McCully, CEO of the national breed organization based in Saint Joseph, Missouri.

The American Angus Association stands as the world’s largest beef breed association, boasting over 21,000 active adult and junior members. Its extensive computerized database contains detailed information on more than 21 million registered Angus cattle.

The Association plays a crucial role in advancing the beef cattle business by meticulously recording ancestral information, production records, and genomic data on individual animals. This data is utilized to develop industry-leading selection tools for its members. Through its various programs and entities, including Angus Genetics Inc., Angus Media, Certified Angus Beef LLC, and the Angus Foundation, the Association supports its members in selecting superior animals for their herds, marketing high-quality genetics within the beef cattle industry, and providing consumers with quality beef.
