Indiana announces 2025-26 migratory bird hunting seasons

INDIANA – Indiana’s proposed migratory bird hunting seasons for 2025-26 have been submitted to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The upcoming seasons will include opportunities to hunt various species, such as mourning dove, waterfowl (including ducks, coots, mergansers, and geese), woodcock, snipe, and sora rails.

Notably, the white-fronted goose season and its associated bag limit will be separate from those for other goose species. The white-fronted goose season will be closed during the first and second Canada goose segments but will open concurrently with other goose seasons during the third segment.
