BROWNSTOWN – Brownstown Central Community School Corp. (BCCSC) announced today that its new food service provider, Chartwells, will offer a free summer meal program for children 18 years old and younger. The Indianapolis-based company, hired by the school corporation in February, will provide five free breakfasts and lunches per week from June 6 to June 25.
Superintendent Tim Taylor shared the details with trustees during a recent meeting at the administrative building, emphasizing that the meals are available to any child residing within the school district.
Meals will be distributed on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. until noon at entrance 6 at Brownstown Central Middle School.
Additionally, Brownstown Elementary School will serve breakfast daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. All meals served at the elementary school must be consumed on-site.
