SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence won the IHSAA Unified track sectional championship at Seymour on Saturday.
The Stars scored 129 points to lead the 11-team field. Whiteland was second with 107, while Columbus North was third with 97. BNL won its fifth sectional crown in program history (2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023).
The top three teams advanced to the regional at Franklin on May 31.
Winners for the Stars included Nik Johnson (100 meters), Jaxon Donnell (100), Carson Puckett (400), the boys 400 relay (Trace Walters, Patric Matson, Alexander Johnson and Donnell), the girls 400 relay (Tori Logsdon, Sophie Jackson, Ellie Matheny and Alex Nubbie), Matson (long jump), Logsdon (shot put) and Nubbie (shot put).
The top four teams in the nine-team regional field will qualify for the state finals at North Central in Indianapolis on June 7.
