ORANGE CO. – A trespass complaint in Orange County led to the arrest of a Paoli man on Tuesday, May 13th.
According to Indiana State Police, Master Trooper Josh Livingston took the initial complaint from a homeowner who provided photographic evidence captured by a home video camera.
Following an investigation, Master Trooper Timothy Weisenberger identified the individual in the photographs as James Kendall and the vehicle he was driving. Shortly thereafter, Sergeant Michael Allen and Trooper Blake Leary located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop for a traffic infraction.
Officers contacted the driver, identified as James Kendall, 49, of Paoli. A check with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) revealed that Kendall had an active warrant for a parole violation through the state of Indiana and that his driver’s license was currently suspended.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located suspected marijuana. As a result, James Kendall was arrested on a parole violation for battery, driving while his driver’s license was suspended, and possession of marijuana and transported to the Orange County Jail.
Trooper Blake Leary was the arresting officer. Sergeant Michael Allen, Master Trooper Timothy Weisenberger, and Master Trooper Josh Livingston assisted in the investigation and arrest. The Paoli Police Department and a K9 unit also assisted.
