BLOOMINGTON– Food enthusiasts and community members are invited to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market (BCFM) this Saturday.

Known for its diverse selection of locally grown and organic produce, handcrafted goods, and artisan creations, the BCFM offers more than just shopping – it’s a lively community gathering place.
Music at the Market
Visitors can enjoy the sounds of live music and the enticing aromas of freshly prepared foods as they explore the open-air stalls.

This Saturday’s market will feature a performance by the MotionArts Dance Company near the Circular Stage. Celebrating its ninth year, the MotionArts Dance Academy offers classical and contemporary dance training focused on technique and artistry, providing performance opportunities for its students in a supportive environment. Their 30-minute performance is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.

Adding to the musical ambiance, singer-songwriter Nicholas Graham-Hall will perform two sets on the Market’s Circular Stage, the first from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and the second from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.. Graham-Hall’s autobiographical songs allow listeners to connect with his stories through music.
Mayor’s Team at the Table

This Saturday also marks an opportunity for community engagement with the city government through the Mayor’s Team at the Table program. Bloomington Police Department Chief Michael Diekhoff will be present at the Market between 10:00 a.m. and Noon to greet the public, answer questions, and discuss issues of interest within the city.
Farmers’ Market Advisory Council
For those interested in the market’s governance, the Farmers’ Market Advisory Council, which represents vendors, customers, and food and beverage artisans, will hold its next meeting on Monday, May 19th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market invites everyone to come for the fresh, local food and stay for the enriching community experience this Saturday.
