Nominations open for 2025 Monroe County Educator of the Year Awards

BLOOMINGTON—The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its annual Educator of the Year Awards, which celebrate dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff from the Monroe County Community School Corporation and the Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation.

The Educator of the Year Awards are a highlight of The Chamber’s Success School initiative. This will be the 24th year that they have recognized the invaluable contributions of local education professionals.

Community members and Chamber members are invited to nominate outstanding individuals who make a difference in students’ lives. Award winners will be honored with a special video interview and presentation during the Chamber’s Annual Meeting.

This year’s 24th Annual Educator of the Year celebration will occur at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 11th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Monroe Convention Center in Bloomington.

The Chamber is also offering sponsorship opportunities for this significant event. Interested parties can contact Kaytee Lorentzen at 812-336-6381 for further details.

Individuals can complete an online form or submit a printable nomination form to nominate an exceptional teacher, administrator, program director, counselor, or instructional staff member. The deadline for all nominations is Monday, July 28th at 5:00 p.m.

Further information about nomination criteria and a list of past award winners before 2024 can be found on The Chamber’s website. This is a chance for the community to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work and dedication of those shaping the future of Monroe County’s students.
