PAOLI – The Orange County Government will illuminate the historic Orange County Courthouse in green throughout May to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month.
According to county officials, green was chosen as it symbolizes hope, renewal, and strength, representing the importance of mental well-being.
In a statement, the county emphasized that mental health impacts all aspects of life, including relationships, work, and the ability to cope and thrive. They encourage community members to engage in open conversations about mental health, offer support to one another, and seek assistance when necessary.
The courthouse’s green illumination is intended to serve as a visible reminder that individuals facing mental health challenges are not alone and that Orange County supports them.
