BEDFORD – “Where the Sweetgrass Grows,” a book by local author and former Shawswick Middle School history teacher, U.S. History, World History, and Geography High School Teacher at West Washington Junior-Senior High School Lori Roberts, is being adapted into a movie. The supernatural thriller, based on the novel by Roberts, is written by Tom Anderson and is set to film in Charlestown, South Carolina.

The film boasts a talented production team, including Executive Producer Dr. Cheri Sotelo, Director Cecile Cinco, and Producers John Duffy, John Kerkhoff, and Shar Yonan. Angela Anderson is the Casting Director.
“Every author dreams of seeing their characters come to life in a movie. I’ve been blessed to have been given the opportunity to live that dream,” said Roberts, “When the opening credits roll on the screen, seeing my name and my novel credited as the basis for the movie will be a high honor,”
Triple-platinum songwriter and country artist Sheri Pedigo from Nashville is attached to the film as a singer/songwriter. Pedigo will collaborate with composer Mariano Saulino to create original music for the movie.
