INDIANAPOLIS—The Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction is developing the 2025-2030 State Suicide Prevention Plan and seeking input from individuals with lived experience, community members, stakeholders, and experts in the field with professional or volunteer roles across the state through a series of virtual listening sessions.
The Health and Behavioral Health Workgroup will hold a listening session on May 9 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. EDT. Click here to join the workgroup.
This listening session provides an opportunity for community members, stakeholders, and experts in the field to share their insights and priorities related to suicide prevention, health, and behavioral health efforts. The Health and Behavioral Health workgroup is focused on suicide prevention efforts in mental health, substance use, and healthcare settings in Indiana. Example efforts may include transforming health systems by implementing the Zero Suicide approach, instituting specific activities as part of routine care, such as screening and follow-up, and integrating behavioral health into primary care settings.
If you would like to provide input/feedback but are unable to attend the May 9 session, please email Jennifer Disbro,jdisbro@adultandchild.org, or Casey Pederson, casapede@iu.edu.
