BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners have entered into an independent contractor agreement with Shelby L. England. The agreement outlines the terms under which England will provide services to the Lawrence County Health Department.
England will work as the Suicide and Overdose Fatality Review Team Program Coordinator in partnership with the Indiana Department of Health to prevent future suicide and overdose deaths by reviewing cases, identifying risk factors, and making recommendations for system improvements. England is qualified to fulfill these requirements, operating as an independent contractor rather than as a regular employee of the county.
Her hours will be scheduled on an “as needed” basis as the Lawrence County Health Officer may determine from time to time. England will be paid $523.34 monthly for all time worked under the agreement.
The County Commissioners signed the agreement.
