Kia D. Cox, 32, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Kia Cox, daughter of Christopher Cox and Annita (Connerley) Cox, was born February 28, 1993. She graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School in the class of 2011. She loved spending time with her son and nephew.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Kia are her father, Christopher Cox; one son, Winston Blackwell; one sister, Kenzi Cox; one brother, Kansas (Kellie) Cox; one nephew, Grayson Frazier; and paternal grandparents, Linda and Russell Cox.
Preceding Kia in death are her mother, Annita (Connerly) Cox; maternal grandparents, Gail and Jim Connerly; uncle, Jimmy Connerly; and cousin, Amber Martin.
Funeral services for Kia will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, with Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
