Michael Keith Owens, 79, of Bedford died at 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born August 29, 1945, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Charles and Dorothy (Sowders) Owens. Despite lifelong health issues, Mike enjoyed many activities such as traveling and attending sporting events. He was a super fan of BNL and IU Basketball. He loved being with his family and attending family events and gatherings.
Survivors include his sister, Beth Gilman, and her husband, David, of Fort Myers, FL; nieces and nephews Ashley, Austin, Kyle, and Kelly; and several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several beloved aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery at a later date.
