BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence claimed the team title during its BNL Unified Invitational track meet on Saturday.
The Stars scored 120 points to top Whiteland (96.5) and Floyd Central (96) in the five-team field.
Winners for BNL included Rylan Shelley (100 meters), Asher Arce (400), Patric Matson (long jump), Trace Walters (shot put), the boys 400 relay, and the girls 400 relay.
”The team did a great job,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “They did what they were asked to do. They were calm, focused and gave their best effort. That allowed us to get the win. I am proud of the work that every one of the kids have put in so far.”
BNL will host Edgewood and Bloomington South on Tuesday.
