

BROWNSTOWN -Bedford North Lawrence finished second in the Brownstown Relays during boys high school track action on Saturday.
The Stars totaled 90 points in the five-team field. Corydon won the team title with 92, while Brownstown was third with 75. In the girls meet, BNL finished third with 59 points, trailing Corydon (102) and Brownstown (66).
In the boys meet, BNL won four events. Luke Morris was the individual champion in the 110 high hurdles in 16.31. The Stars won the 400 shuttle hurdle relay (Driven Axsom, Hiram Mullis, Raiden Todd and Morris in 53.53), the combined high jump (16-8, with Brayden Patterson clearing 6-2) and the combined pole vault (26-6, with Oliver Brown clearing 11-0).
BNL also won four events in the girls meet. Paige Voigtschild crossed first in the 1600 in 5:31.65. The Stars won the 3200 relay (Elise Williams, Gracie Simmerman, Voigtschild and Avery Brown in 10:53.89), the 400 shuttle hurdle relay (Emma Heinzman, Trinity Schmeichel, Rihanna Tillett and Kale Woodward in 1:07.51), and the combined shot put (85-7.5 with Macey Lambrecht and Madelyn Mason).
The Stars will visit Seymour on Tuesday.
