Clearview Church organizes Back-to-School Prayer Service at Courthouse

BEDFORD – Clearview Church is inviting the entire Lawrence County community to a special back-to-school prayer service.

Pastor Rob Lanham and Nate Harris, Men’s Ministry Director at Hope Resource Center, addressed the county commissioners on Tuesday morning to announce the event, which will take place on the courthouse lawn on Wednesday, August 6th, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The commissioners approved the request.

The prayer service aims to bring the community together to pray for students and teachers as they prepare to return to school for the upcoming academic year.

“Everyone and anyone in the community is welcome,” Pastor Lanham stated. “We will be inviting local churches, youth groups, clubs, and others to participate in this meaningful event.”

Lenham emphasized the significance of starting the school year with prayer, noting that “a back-to-school prayer for children and teachers can be a beautiful way to begin with a sense of purpose and gratitude.” He suggested that the prayer will focus on blessings for students’ learning, the dedication of teachers, and the well-being of the entire school community.

The community is encouraged to come together on August 6th to participate in this heartfelt prayer as the new school year approaches.
