BNL boys dominate meet with Edgewood

BNL’s Alex Nicholson won the 3200 meter race during Tuesday’s meet at Edgewood.

ELLETTSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence won 11 events while conquering Edgewood during boys high school track action on Tuesday.

The Stars recorded an 85-47 victory. In the girls meet, the Mustangs posted an 85-42 win.

In the boys meet, Frank Decker was a double winner, crossing first in the 100 meter dash (11.75) and 200 (24.49). Decker was also a member of the winning 400 relay (with Driven Axsom, Porter Brown and Hiram Mullis in 45.84). Luke Morris was also a double winner in the 110 high hurdles (17.85) and 300 hurdles (44.37).

Other winners for the Stars included Jonah Bailey (1600 in 4:51.03), Ben Conner (400 in 53.60), Alex Nicholson (3200 in 11:29.12), Brayden Patterson (6-4 in the high jump), Oliver Brown (11-6 in the pole vault) and Tripp Stahl (48-3.5 in the shot put).

In the girls meet, winners for BNL included Tori Kiser (14.23 in the 100), Paige Voigtschild (5:30.53 in the 1600), Kinleigh Root (4-9 in the high jump) and Avery Brown (14-3.5 in the long jump).

BNL will compete in the Brownstown Relays on Saturday.

BNL’s Brayden Patterson cleared 6-4 to win the high jump competition.
