Barbara J. Bough, 82, of Loogootee, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at The Villages at Oak Ridge in Washington.
Born May 30, 1942, in Martin County, she was the daughter of C. V. and Kathleen (Marley) Tedrow. She married Doyle E. Bough on October 31, 1959, in Bedford, and he passed away on October 5, 2009. Barbara retired from Perfect Fit in Loogootee, where she worked as a seamstress for over 32 years. Barbara was a member of the Dover Hill Christian Union Church. Her hobbies included visiting yard sales, going to the movie theater, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and shopping on QVC and HSN. She enjoyed cooking, especially vegetable soup and homemade ice cream. Barbara loved visiting with her friends at the Loogootee McDonald’s and spending time with her family.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Ronald (Vickie) Bough, of Bloomfield, and Randall (Ronetta) Bough, of Washington; sisters-in-laws, Loria Mae Wilson, of Shoals, Linda Melton, of Yuma, AZ, and Joy Bough, of Shoals; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle; one daughter, Marilyn, in infancy; and her brother, Victor Tedrow, as well as another brother in infancy.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care, with Pastor Mike Schlaegel officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dover Hill Christian Union Church or the Martin County Humane Society.
