Faith and Housing Summit aims to tackle South Central Indiana’s housing crisis

BEDFORD – Local faith-based organizations and community leaders are invited to an upcoming Faith and Housing Summit to explore how churches and other faith-based groups can play a vital role in addressing the pressing housing crisis in South Central Indiana. Hosted by  Heading Home and Prosperity Indiana, the free event will take place on Thursday, May 1st, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bedford, located at 1515 20th Street.

The summit promises to be an inspiring and informative gathering, offering attendees the opportunity to learn from others within the faith community who are actively utilizing their resources to develop housing and provide crucial supportive services that help individuals and families maintain stable housing.

Attendees will hear from experienced faith-based developers who will discuss aligning housing development with their core missions and highlight the essential collaborations needed to bring successful projects to fruition.

The program is designed to cater to a wide range of experience levels. Congregations new to the housing development landscape will gain a foundational understanding of the process. Those ready to embark on a project will benefit from peer-to-peer advice on how to take the first steps.
