INDOT to host public open house for 2026-2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program in Bloomington 

BLOOMINGTON— The Indiana Department of Transportation announces an opportunity to learn more and provide comments regarding its draft 2026-2030 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).

The STIP is Indiana’s five-year planning and construction document that lists all transportation projects expected to be funded within the next five years using federal funding in addition to regionally significant state-funded projects.  The current STIP (2024-2028) and draft 2026-2030 STIP are available on INDOT’s STIP webpage.

The open house will take place at the following location on Wednesday, April 30, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

No RSVP or pre-registration is necessary for the in-person open house.

Doors will open at 4 to allow the public time to view displays and interact with INDOT and Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMCMPO) staff to ask questions about transportation projects and provide comments on the STIP.

The public comment period for the draft 2026-2030 STIP will be open from Tuesday, April 1, to Thursday, May 15, 2025.  Comments may be submitted in person at an open house, or via the STIP Map Survey, INDOT4U  (indot4u.com/855-463-6848), or by mail to:
