Emery C. Taylor, 84, of Mitchell, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his residence.
He was born in Bedford on April 18, 1940, to Ephram and Eva (Morrow) Taylor. Emery retired after 22 years of service from the US Air Force, after he managed Toys Plus in Arkansas, he also worked at GE in Bloomington, and he was a home builder.
Survivors include three sons, Dewayne E. (Marci) Taylor, William “Bill” F. (Sheila) Taylor, and Eric T. Taylor, six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Emery was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. And two former spouses.
The funeral service will be on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with Jeff Hauersperger officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Hill Cemetery. The American Legion Gillen Post #33 will perform military honors at the graveside. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 17th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
