BEDFORD – Fulfilling the dream of playing basketball on the college level is not a miracle, even for a Miracle. It’s the culmination of years of practice, dedication and sacrifice. Bedford North Lawrence’s Logan Miracle is a prime example.

He first dreamed of competing at the next level as an elementary kid, caught in the constant swirl of travel ball. Now he made that a reality on Friday afternoon, when he signed with Hanover College.

Miracle, a fixture in the middle for the Stars, will join a program that’s already Indiana heavy. Some of the names on the roster include several who faced the Stars as opponents during recent years. Head coach Jon Miller just completed his 17th season with the Panthers, who were 16-11 last season.

That’s one of the main reasons Miracle chose Hanover. The school, the program, the roster all had that familiar feel.

Logan Miracle averaged 8.9 points and 6.0 rebounds for the Stars in 2024-25.

“I really loved the campus, but the coaches and atmosphere was amazing,” said Miracle, who plans to major in engineering, with a lean toward the computer discipline. “It felt perfect. It felt like the right fit. The program they are building is really good.”

Miracle averaged 8.9 points and a team-best 6.0 rebounds as a senior for BNL, which finished 9-13. As a junior, he totaled 6.0 points and shot over 70 percent from the field. He was voted Honorable Mention in the Hoosier Hills Conference. His ceiling is still high.

”At BNL, I learned working as a team and discipline, knowing what is expected of you,” he said. “We learn what it takes to win and working as a team to accomplish that.

”At the end of the day, it’s what you make of it. I worked my butt off.”

Hanover competes in NCAA Div. III. The Panthers have posted a winning record 31 times in the last 32 seasons.
