TOLL ROAD DISTRICT– On Saturday, March 29, troopers from the Indiana State Police Toll Road Post conducted a “state line to state line” targeted patrol focused on the length of the Indiana Toll Road from the Illinois state line to the Ohio state line.

The purpose of this patrol was to highlight the commitment to maintaining safe travels for those on the Indiana Toll Road by looking for aggressive drivers and those driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
This patrol began at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning and concluded at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday and resulted in:
- 60 traffic citations
- 60 warnings
- 2 OWI arrests
- 12 misdemeanor arrests
- 2 drug arrests
During this patrol, 3.5 pounds of marijuana edibles were located. Another driver was arrested for reckless driving for allegedly travelling 103 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone.
The Indiana State Police will continue to have high-visibility, focused patrols throughout the communities we work in, including the Indiana Toll Road. These patrols aim to use proactive enforcement, investigation, and crime prevention efforts to make our communities and roadways safer for everyone.Â
