Obituary: Lloyd McFadden

September 2, 1930 – March 13, 2025

Lloyd McFadden, 94, of Bedford, passed away on March 13, 2025.

Born September 2, 1930, in Bedford, he was the son of Charles and Blanche (Treadway) McFadden. He married Barbara Stigall on December 3, 1955, and she preceded him in death on December 31, 2020. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. An avid sports fan, he loved Indiana University and the Chicago Cubs. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling. He retired from Indiana Limestone Company in 1992.

Survivors include children, Scott McFadden, of Dallas, TX, Troy McFadden and wife, Holly, of Avon, and Jana McFadden; grandchildren, Madison Bruns and husband, Blair, Grace McFadden, Brayden McFadden, Brody McFadden, Rylan McFadden, and Savannah McFadden; a great-granddaughter, Blake Bruns. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Bob and John McFadden, his twin sister, Norma Williams and a sister, Mary Lou McFadden (in infancy).

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Taylor Quinley officiating. Military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery.
