Gerber recalls teething sticks due to choking hazard concerns

INDIANA – Gerber has recalled its “Sooth N Chew” teething sticks due to potential choking hazards. The company issued the recall on Friday after receiving customer complaints and reports of one emergency room visit linked to the product.

The edible teething sticks, designed for children six months and older, are marketed to help ease teething pain. Available in strawberry-apple and banana flavors, the sticks are meant to be safe for babies to chew. However, concerns were raised when customers reported incidents that prompted the recall.

Gerber is working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to handle the recall process appropriately.

The company urges customers who purchased the affected teething sticks to return them to the store where they were bought for a full refund. Parents and guardians are advised to discontinue use of the product immediately.
