
BEDFORD- The Bedford Board of Works and Safety met last night at StoneGate Arts and Education Center, and staff changes to the fire and police departments were presented for approval from the board.

Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore took the podium to request acceptance of an officer resignation. Officer Robert Harris has resigned to pursue a career in the medical field. The resignation was unanimously approved.
Moore then asked for the approval of a personnel replacement. Chief Moore endorsed candidate Bryce Bower, and his appointment was unanimously approved.

Luke Pinnick, Chief of the Bedford Fire Department, made a request for the acceptance of the permanent status of two firefighters:
- Firefighter 3rd Class Parish S. England
- Firefighter 3rd Class Clayton J. Evers
Chief Pinnick stated the candidates had completed probationary terms and he recommended them for permanent status. The board unanimously approved the change to permanent status for both firefighters.
