VINCENNES – A routine traffic stop on North Sixth Street in Vincennes led to the arrest of four individuals on drug charges Friday night. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies stopped a pickup truck for an equipment violation. During the stop, a canine unit alerted officers to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle.

A subsequent search uncovered marijuana, methamphetamine, and prescription medications. The driver, 29-year-old Keith McIntosh, and passengers Peggy Baker, 40, Lea Chambers, 31, and Jonathan Roseman, 25, all from Vincennes, were taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

McIntosh faces an additional charge of maintaining a common nuisance, while Baker, Chambers, and Roseman are each charged with visiting a common nuisance and other misdemeanor drug offenses.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
