City-wide boil order in effect for Bedford and road closure for 16th Street

Effective June 15, 2024, a city-wide precautionary boil order is being issued.


This precautionary boil order will remain in force until further notice. The order is being issued due to a
repair of a water main.

Bring all water to a boil.
Let water boil vigorously for 2 minutes.

Let water cool before using, or alternatively, use bottled water.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing vegetables, washing
dishes, making infant formula, all food preparation and consumption, and making or using ice until
further notice.

Temporary Road Closure on US 50 (16th St):


Highway 50 (16th Street) will be temporarily closed for traffic from West of P Street to East of Brian Lane
Way and S Street. Semi truck traffic must use Beech St to John Williams Blvd or Mitchell Rd as a detour.
